چکیده
The static and dynamic properties of skyrmions have recently received increased attention due to the potential application as information carriers for unconventional computing. While current-driven dynamics has been explored deeply, both theoretically experimentally, theory temperature gradient-induced dynamics---skyrmion caloritronics---is still at its early stages development. Here, we move topic forward by identifying role entropic torques dependence magnetic parameters. Our results show that towards higher temperatures in single-layer ferromagnets with interfacial Dzyaloshinski-Moriya interactions, whereas, multilayers, they lower temperatures. We analytically numerically demonstrate opposite behaviors are different scaling relations material parameters well a non-negligible magnetostatic field gradient multilayers. also find spatially dependent skyrmion Hall angle multilayers hosting hybrid variations thickness-dependent chirality moves along gradient.

Skyrmion motion driven by oscillating magnetic field
The one-dimensional magnetic skyrmion motion induced by an electric current has attracted much interest because of its application potential in next-generation magnetic memory devices. Recently, the unidirectional motion of large (20 μm in diameter) magnetic bubbles with two-dimensional skyrmion topology, driven by an oscillating magnetic field, has also been demonstrated. For application in hi...
متن کاملMagnetic skyrmion transistor: skyrmion motion in a voltage-gated nanotrack
Magnetic skyrmions are localized and topologically protected spin configurations, which are of both fundamental and applied interests for future electronics. In this work, we propose a voltage-gated skyrmion transistor within the well-established framework of micromagnetics. Its operating conditions and processes have been theoretically investigated and demonstrated, in which the gate voltage c...

We study the behavior of skyrmions in thin films under the action of stochastic torques arising from thermal fluctuations. We find that the Brownian motion of skyrmions is described by a stochastic Thiele’s equation and its corresponding Fokker-Planck equation. The resulting Fokker-Planck equation is recognized as the one for a high-friction Brownian particle which has been studied extensively ...
متن کاملDynamics of an insulating Skyrmion under a temperature gradient.
We study the Skyrmion dynamics in thin films under a temperature gradient. Our numerical simulations show that both single and multiple Skyrmions in a crystal move towards the high temperature region, which is contrary to particle diffusion. Noticing a similar effect in the domain wall motion, we employ a theory based on magnon dynamics to explain this counterintuitive phenomenon. Unlike the te...

The observation of spontaneous islands growth in tokamak experiments indicates that the tearing mode could also be linearly unstable. However, in the framework of resistive magnetohydrodynamics, previous works have demonstrated that drift effects, electron heat transport along magnetic field lines and ion Larmor radius effects have stabilizing effects. Recently, numerical calculations and analy...
